“7 or 8” is composed from old paintings that have been compressed by folding and stitching; now resting inside a box, secured by scraps from my personal collection. The intention is a renewal, to make something smaller instead of throwing it away.

In Sleeping Under Spoons I work with textiles to hide, protect, and reveal a painting of my sisters spoon collection. The fabric becomes my multi-layer medium to confront what is inside. The string becomes scaffolding with the same motive.
